Dr. Diego Gonzalez Morin is a Senior R&D Engineer at i2CAT Foundation (Barcelona, Spain). He holds a Master’s degree in Systems, Robotics, and Control from KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm, Sweden), earned in 2018. In 2023, he completed his Ph.D. in Communications and Multimedia, with a research focus on the distributed implementation of XR technologies over 5G networks, contributing to the advancement of immersive and interactive virtual experiences.
Currently, at i2CAT Foundation, Diego focuses on the development of high-quality real-time 3D reconstruction systems, enabling more realistic remote human interactions. Diego is involved in the design and integration steps led by i2CAT in wpork packages 1,2 and 5
