Alexis Roche holds a PhD in Engineering Science from INRIA and Université Côte d’Azur, Sophia Antipolis, France. He is the Head of Artificial Intelligence at Didimo, where he has been working since 2019, leading the development of automated 3D character creation for the Popul8 software. His work focuses on shape reconstruction and generation, rig retargeting, skin texturing, asset fitting, and mesh wrapping. Prior to joining Didimo, Alexis served as a Senior Computer Vision Scientist at CoVii (Arçelik Group) in Porto, Lead Clinical Researcher at Siemens Healthineers/University Hospital (CHUV) in Lausanne, Switzerland, a Permanent Researcher at Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique (CEA), Paris-Saclay, France, and as an Academic Guest at the Federal Institute of Technology (ETHZ) in Zurich, Switzerland.
