Rodriguez-Fornells is a Research Professor at the ICREA and head of the Cognition and Brain Plasiticity lab (Bellvitge Biomedical Instititute-IDIBELL and University of Barcelona). He previously developed his research on neuroimaging at the University of Magdeburg and later went back to Barcelona as Ramon y Cajal Researcher. He has also been a visiting researcher at Columbia University (Zuckerman Neuroscience Institute) and currently is also a FIAS/IMERA fellow at Aix-Marseille University. His expertise is in the domain of neuroimaging (specially fMRI and EEG), being specialized in measures associated to performance monitoring and language processing. He has recently developed influential research on using brain imaging signatures as proxy measures of agency and ownership in VR.
