Mariana Dias is a Software Engineer based in Porto, working at the intersection of Computer Vision and Computer Graphics. She holds a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto and began her career at INESC TEC, developing AI solutions for MRI imaging.
Currently a Senior Software Engineer at Didimo, Mariana focuses on the automated reconstruction and generation of high-quality 3D facial assets, including meshes and textures. Her expertise has led to two SIGGRAPH publications and contributions to multiple patents. Her current work is focused on skin generation, leveraging innovative techniques to push the boundaries of realism and functionality in 3D assets.
