Marc Martos is Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder at Volum since July 2025. He has been developing volumetric communication technologies for over eight years, focusing on real-time 3D capture, processing, compression, and multi-user immersive experiences aimed at enabling the next generation of spatial communications. Within the Presence Project, he has led WP2, driving the technical architecture and core technological development, and has actively contributed to the integration efforts of WP5, ensuring end-to-end coherence between research outputs and applied deployment. His expertise spans immersive systems engineering, real-time rendering pipelines, networked volumetric streaming, and scalable XR infrastructures. He combines deep technical execution with strategic vision, aligning R&D outcomes with productization and long-term technological positioning.
